Integrations

This guide covers how to connect and manage third-party integrations in Octayne PSA, including accounting, calendar, project management, expense, and AI tools.

Accessing Integrations

You can reach the integrations page in two ways:

  • Organization-level: Go to Settings > click Integrations in the central navigation bar.
  • Personal-level: Go to your personal Settings > click Integrations.

Note: Some integrations are configured at the organization level and apply to all members. Others are connected per user.

Connecting QuickBooks Online

  1. Navigate to the Integrations page.
  2. Find QuickBooks Online and click Connect.
  3. Follow the OAuth authorization flow to sign in with your QuickBooks credentials and grant access.
  4. If prompted, enter your Realm ID to link the correct QuickBooks company.

Once connected, Octayne PSA can sync invoices and payment data with QuickBooks Online.

Tip: Have your QuickBooks Realm ID ready before starting. You can find it in your QuickBooks URL after signing in.

Connecting Microsoft Outlook

  1. Navigate to the Integrations page.
  2. Find Microsoft Outlook and click Connect.
  3. Follow the Microsoft sign-in flow to authenticate and grant Octayne PSA access to your Outlook account.

Once connected, you can sync calendar events and emails with your matters.

Connecting Microsoft 365 Organizational

This integration provides organization-wide access to Microsoft 365 services.

  1. Navigate to the Integrations page.
  2. Find Microsoft 365 Organizational and click Connect.
  3. An administrator must complete the admin consent flow to authorize Octayne PSA for all users in the organization.

Note: This integration requires Azure AD administrator privileges. Only an admin can approve the consent flow for the entire organization.

Connecting Atlassian Jira

  1. Navigate to the Integrations page.
  2. Find Jira and click Connect.
  3. Follow the Atlassian OAuth flow to sign in and authorize access to your Jira workspace.

Once connected, you can link Jira issues to matters and track project work alongside billable time.

Connecting Google Calendar

  1. Navigate to the Integrations page.
  2. Find Google Calendar and click Connect.
  3. Follow the Google sign-in flow to authenticate and grant calendar access.

Once connected, your Google Calendar events can be synced with Octayne PSA for time tracking and scheduling.

Connecting Ramp Expenses

  1. Navigate to the Integrations page.
  2. Find Ramp and click Connect.
  3. Enter your Ramp client credentials (Client ID and Client Secret).
  4. Click Save to complete the connection.

Once connected, expenses from Ramp will sync into Octayne PSA for allocation to matters.

Tip: You can generate Ramp API credentials from your Ramp dashboard under Developer Settings.

Enabling Octayne AI Note Generator

  1. Navigate to the Integrations page.
  2. Find Octayne AI and click Enable.

Once enabled, the AI Note Generator can assist with drafting time entry narratives and matter notes.

Disconnecting Integrations

To disconnect any active integration:

  1. Navigate to the Integrations page.
  2. Find the integration you want to remove.
  3. Click Disconnect.

The integration will be removed and data syncing will stop. Previously synced data will remain in Octayne PSA.

Note: Disconnecting an integration does not delete any data that has already been synced into Octayne PSA.
